Bristol Flyers have completed the signing of British forward Rowell Graham-Bell on a short-term contract for the 2023/14 British Basketball League season.
The former Great Britain junior International joins the club after a short spell with the Newcastle Eagles last season, having previously played for the Plymouth City Patriots, where he averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game.
Graham-Bell represented the GB National Team at both the Under-18 and Under-20 level and was a part of the silver medal-winning team at the 2013 European Championships (Division B), in a side that also featured Flyers captain Raphell Thomas-Edwards.

On signing with the Flyers, Graham-Bell said:
“It’s good to be back playing again. It feels like a fresh start for me, and it’s been a long time coming. I can’t wait to link up with the team.
“I had a discussion with Coach Kapoulas and we came to an agreement very quickly. We’re both on the same page and he’s very straightforward in what he wants.
“We have a lot of history together; I played for him as a junior international, so when he gave me the call, I didn’t have any second thoughts.”
Standing at 6’6”, the versatile Brit also has experience across a number of international leagues. He worked his way up through the Spanish Basketball pyramid over six years, as well as playing in the Icelandic top flight, Germany’s Pro-B and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).
Flyers Head Coach, Andreas Kapoulas said:
“Rowell is a hard-working, team-orientated player that will slot in immediately into our system and rotation.
“With a couple of early season injuries and some players having to play big minutes as a result, we felt it was important to make a move that will help our team with the schedule of games coming up.
“Having worked with Rowell in the past, it was a very straightforward decision. He is extremely competitive, has a versatile game, plays with a lot of energy and will make an instant impact with his physicality and athleticism.”
