UK BREAKING CREWS GULLY SQUAD AND BREAKERSPRO TO ALSO FEATURE IN ACTION-PACKED AFTERNOON OF SHOWSTOPPING BASKETBALL ON SUNDAY MAY 14TH AT O2 ARENA.

LONDON, UK: With less than three weeks until the British Basketball League Play-Off Finals, the league has confirmed a star-studded line of entertainment for the final showpiece event of the British Basketball calendar at The O2 Arena, London on Sunday 14th of May.

Fans of British hip-hop will be thrilled that the energetic and inspiring duo, Young T & Bugsey are scheduled to perform at the halftime show during the Men’s finals.

The Nottingham rap duo have been at the forefront of the UK music scene, forming their brand on the infectious crossovers of hip-hop, Afro-swing, and trap, since storming into the U.K. charts in 2019 with their platinum-certified “Strike a Pose” summer hit, which featured renowned British talent Aitch.

Capitalising on this monumental success, the duo enlisted another star in Headie One for their subsequent single, “Don’t Rush”, which shot to new heights after gaining widespread traction on TikTok. The song’s official music video which premiered on the highly-respected GRM Daily YouTube channel has amassed 97 million views, setting a stratospheric record in their careers.

Following the release of their first mixtape, Plead the 5th, in March 2020, the pair returned in January of last year with Truth Be Told, their second mixtape, which soared to number 25 in the UK albums chart. Now they will take to the court in the capital to perform at the biggest UK basketball event of the year, with fans set to be off their seats throughout the half-time show, with the finals also broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Additionally, during the Women’s half-time show, fans can also anticipate two unforgettable, jaw-dropping performances as London’s breaking crews, Gully Squad and BreakersPro battle to tear apart the dancefloor. They’ll be supported by the British Basketball League dance troupe who will be on hand to entertain the expected capacity crowd throughout the afternoon!

A record crowd of more than 15,000 fans witnessed an incredible super double-bill at last year’s season-ending finals as the London Lions completed a domestic quadruple by defeating the Sevenoaks Suns in the Women’s final. Before the Leicester Riders celebrated a memorable treble-winning campaign by overcoming the Lions in the Men’s final.

Whilst the finalists are yet to be confirmed, this year’s final is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with showstopping action on and off the court throughout the day. It is not to be missed!

Tickets for the biggest event in British Basketball are selling out fast! Act now to avoid missing out on what is anticipated to be an exhilarating afternoon of action as the best ballers battle it out for the most prestigious trophy the sport has to offer.

Fans can secure their tickets by visiting: https://www.bbl.org.uk/2023playoffs/ or tune in live from 13:00 pm on Sunday, May 14th on Sky Sports and the Sky Sports YouTube channel.
