Here’s a look at the new threads and the meanings behind them:
Las Vegas Aces
The Aces’ new kit captures Vegas’ attempt to become the first (and only) WNBA team to three-peat since the Houston Comets with “championship red,” which “represents energy, strength, passion and action—all core parts of the Aces winning identity.”
Phoenix Mercury
Dedicated to the X-Factor, Phoenix’s new look evokes the “iconic sunrise and sunset” of the Valley and ushers in “a new dawn, a new day” for the Mercury organization.
Chicago Sky
With a “dreamy, light blue colored uniform,” the Sky seek to covey the team’s “limitless potential for excellence” by “conjur[ing] images of a sky and all the infinite possibilities beyond.”
Los Angeles Sparks
The Sparks have incorporated details from the team’s history while “looking towards the future.”
Seattle Storm
The Storm’s new threads announce that the team is “a force of nature,” representing how the organization “opts to break boundaries and carve its own path to victory with unbridled passion.”
Connecticut Sun
With their new uniform, the Sun seek to “deepen the connection” to their fans and community by “acknowledging important moments, muses and movements in our history and the impact they’ve made on the game.”
