Rising British Talent RJ Eytle Rock Joins the Sheffield Sharks
The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks have announced the signing of RJ Eytle Rock their roster for the upcoming season of the British Basketball League. A promising young British talent, RJ’s signing marks an exciting new chapter in his first season in professional basketball.
Hailing from London, England, RJ’s basketball journey started at Barking Abbey Academy, a renowned institution known for nurturing top-tier basketball talent. He then went on to excel in his college career, spending three seasons at UMBC before transferring to Utah State University for his final two years. Throughout his NCAA career, Eytle Rock consistently showcased his skills on the court, averaging eight points, three rebounds, and two assists per game.
“I am incredibly excited and honoured to sign my first professional contract with the Sharks,” said the 24-year-old. “This is a dream come true for me, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success in any way I can. I’m ready to give my all and continue to develop as a player.”
Head Coach Atiba Lyons expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition of the 6’4” player, highlighting the significance of nurturing young British talents:
