Ratinho returns for third season with Sharks

B. Braun Sheffield Sharks today announced the signing of Jordan Ratinho for the upcoming 2022-23 BBL season.

The 6’5″, 24-year-old guard is a product of the University of San Francisco and arrived in Sheffield in 2020, making this his third go around with the Sharks.

“I’m excited to get back, it’s great to see so many guys returning,” said Ratinho. “The consistency will be there, and we will be able to hit the ground running.

“I feel like we could really do something special with this team this season.”

Originally from Concord, California averaged 11.5 pts 6.3 reb 2.9 ast 1.4 stl with 40.9 3P% in the BBL Championship last season.

“Jordan’s development continued this past season, and we are looking to see that same growth heading into the upcoming one,” added Head Coach Atiba Lyons.

“He is one of our smartest and toughest players, never complains and always gets the job done. He can be a nightmare for the opposition with his outside shooting, his defence, and his fearless ability to attack the rim in traffic.”

Ratinho joins newly appointed captain Rodney Glasgow Jr, Marcus Delpeche, and Nate Montgomery, Bennett Koch, Kipper Nichols and newcomers Javion Ogunyemi and Channel Banks for the new campaign.

The Sharks take on the London Lions in the first match of the season Friday, 23rd September in Sheffield at 7:30pm LIVE on Sky Sports.
