Kipper Nichols has re-signed for the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks for the forthcoming 2022-23 BBL season.
A fan favourite, the 26-year-old from Lakewood, Ohio returns to the club for his third campaign with the Sharks.
“I love Sheffield, I can’t wait to get back to Ponds Forge in front our fans,” said Nichols. “It’s great to see so many guys returning I think that we can build off the success and momentum we built towards the end of last regular season.”
Nichols averaged 11.2 pts, 4.3 reb, 1.7 ast, 1.1 stl per game for the Sharks last season with a season high of 22pts v Cheshire Phoenix in April.
“We’re very excited to have Kipper back in Sheffield,” added Sharks Head Coach, Atiba Lyons.
“He is a guy that can score at will when he locks in and is able to guard just about anybody on the court. He made great progress on his development last season, and we expect that to continue into this season. This will be a huge year for him, we are expecting a consistent effort all the way through.”
Kipper Nichols joins newly appointed captain Rodney Glasgow Jr, Marcus Delpeche, and Nate Montgomery, Bennett Koch, and newcomers Javion Ogunyemi and Channel Banks for the new campaign.
The Sharks take on the London Lions in the first match of the season Friday, 23rd September in Sheffield at 7:30pm LIVE on Sky Sports.
