The season is likely over for LaMelo Ball after he suffered a right ankle fracture during the Hornets’ win over the Pistons.

His teammate Gordon Hayward, who suffered a season-ending injury himself back in 2017, spoke about Melo’s situation, saying that he reached out him already.

“It sucks, injuries are the worst part about the game,” Hayward said after the game, via HoopsHype. “I know that all too well. Already reached out to him, but it sucks and so I feel for him. I feel like we were starting to figure some stuff out a little bit and then another injury.”
