Before getting traded to the Trail Blazers, Cam Reddish played only 20 games for the Knicks this season averaging 8.4 points in 21.9 minutes per game.

The 23-year-old small forward fell out of favor with the head coach Tom Thibodeau. Looking back at his time in New York, Reddish him not playing was not about basketball.

“It was tough but at the same time, it ain’t even about basketball,” Reddish said, via Stefan Bondy of the Daily News. “It had nothing to do with basketball. It was all the politics, all the favoritism. S–t like that. That’s why I wasn’t too worried about it.”

Since moving to Portland, the player is averaging 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 30.8 minutes per game. Reddish has started in 10 of 12 games for the Blazers.
