Caledonia Gladiators have confirmed the signing of Aljami ‘Al’ Durham until the end of the season. He last played in Greece’s top tier for G.S. Lavrio B.C during the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.

Currently in his rookie year, the American guard comes to the BBL after averaging 5.3 PPG, 1.9 RPG and 1 APG in Greece. This campaign, he has played and scored against Greek giants like Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and AEK. A season-high of 13 points came against EuroLeague side Olympiakos, who were last season’s Greek league champions.

The 6’4″ Guard spent four years at Indiana
University, transferring to Providence last campaign for his final year of
college eligibility. There, he averaged 13.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4
assists, helping his team in becoming champions of the Big East conference,
then going onto make the Sweet Sixteen round of March Madness.

Upon his arrival in Scotland, the
24-year-old said: “I’m looking forward to getting out there, playing, and
being able to see Scotland and its culture. Coach Gareth is an amazing guy, he
made sure I was okay and comfortable throughout our first meetings. He’s a very
knowledgeable coach and has been helpful with my transition here.”

BBL Head Coach Gareth Murray said:
“I’m happy to have got the deal over the line, I’m hoping he can come in
as a solid team player.”

The Georgia native will come into Gareth Murray’s squad as #42 and he is cleared to play alongside other newcomer, Fahro Alihodzic at Friday’s game against Bristol Flyers.
