RADFORD, Va. – The Highlanders will host an exhibition with Roanoke College Wednesday night in the Dedmon Center to gear up for the regular season opener next week.

SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders own a 3-0 advantage in the all-time series against Roanoke College when competing in the regular season. The two teams last met up in 1982 with the Highlanders winning 85-65. Radford and Roanoke College last met in an exhibition game during the 2018-19 season, where Radford won handily 77-27.
SCOUTING THE MAROONS
Roanoke College posted an impressive 20-6 record last season, going 15-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). The Maroons averaged 69.3 points per game while pulling down 39.5 rebounds as well. Senior Rose Sande helped paced the offense with 8.7 points per game while also pulling down 4.8 rebounds per game.
EXCITING NEW COACHING ADDITIONS
The Highlanders begin the 2022-23 campaign with two new assistant coaches in the house. Amber Easter returns to her home state after a stint with St. Bonaventure. Alex Tomlinson, the reigning national Division III assistant coach of the year award winner, joins the Highlanders after multiple successful years with Division III powerhouse Christopher Newport.
FRESH LOOK HIGHLANDERS
Nine newcomers join the Highlanders with high hopes of contributing. Trinity Klock will bring the most experience after two full playing seasons with South Carolina State. Ashley Panem, Zahra Daniel, Tatiana Beaumont and Caliana Fenceroy also transferred up from the JuCo level and are looking for their first Division I action. Maci Rhoades, Ashlyn Traylor, Olivia Wagner and Emma Fox all will be making their collegiate debuts this year too.
