Plymouth City Patriots have added a new signing, prior to the closure of the player signing window.
Otas Iyekekpolor, a 6’8″ forward hailing from Edmonton, Canada is the man in question and Patriot fans can certainly be excited at the prospect and potential for this young athlete.
Iyekekpolor has a wealth of experience in the American college system, including four years at NCAA D1 level, playing for Scottie Pippens former team, the Central Arkansas Bears, before transferring to Fort Lewis in his senior year.
Iyekekpolor also has plenty of professional experience, playing in his home Canadian leagues, including the CEBL and Canadian NBL. His talents have also seen him play across Europe, in France, Portugal and Bulgaria, as well as a brief stint in Lebanon.
“I’m very happy with where the squad is right now,” said Paul James, Head Coach. “We’ve added some size to the line-up and with Otas, some experience and professionalism to compliment how we do things in Plymouth.
“He’s got a great CV and is another player that gives us more depth and more options with how we can play.”
