The signings keep rolling in for the Manchester Giants as Men’s Head Coach Brian Semonian has confirmed the addition of American forward Nick Stampley to his roster for the 2023/24 British Basketball League campaign.
The 24-year-old from Florida joins the club after a successful debut campaign as a professional in Finland, where Stampley played for Korihait alongside new Surrey Scorchers signing Quin Cooper.
Standing at 6’6”, the young forward completed five years in the NCAA, spending his final three years of eligibility with the Troy Trojans in Alabama, and he’s now excited to continue his career in the UK with the Giants.
Upon joining the Giants, Stampley said:
“I’m excited to be here in Manchester and get to work. My conversations with Coach Brian have excited me about a new challenge here in Manchester. We have a group of guys who want to develop a winning culture and I’m looking forward to the first game.”
Giants Head Coach Brian Semonian added:
“Nick is going to bring a lot to the Giants this season. He is an extremely versatile player. His size, scoring, rebounding, defence and athleticism allow him to have an impact on the game in many ways. He is a high-energy player that the fans will love to watch play.”
