Lewis ignited a fiery streak for the Giants, amassing five quick points to start the third quarter. However, Matt Morgan’s remarkable pair of three-pointers pushed his personal score to 14 points, cementing London’s humble lead.
Sharma’s strategic play in the paint proved effective despite Manchester’s valiant defensive manoeuvres. The 7’0″ centre got up to 13 points with just one miss, utilising his length advantage to stay ahead.
London’s composed transitions paid dividends, capitalising on consecutive possessions with lightning speed, making it a double-digit lead for the league leaders.
Meanwhile, Lewis continued to scorch the court from the front, effortlessly reaching an impressive 23 points, his third 20+ point outing this season for the Giants.
Despite Lewis’s efforts in securing the final five points of the penultimate quarter, the Giants found themselves trailing the Lions marginally at 63-71. London’s strong performance included boasting 12 successful three-pointers at an impressive 50% shooting accuracy.
London’s fortunes took an immediate turn at the start of the closing quarter, as Matt Morgan executed a sensational four-point play, joining Lewis in surpassing the 20-point mark.
A pair of pivotal Anderson three-pointers kept the game tightly contested, narrowing the gap to just four points midway through the final quarter.
Sharma’s contribution added four crucial points for the Lions, stretching their narrow lead to eight points as the clock wound down in the closing moments of the contest.
Despite combining for 54 points, eight assists, and six steals, Anderson and Lewis’ tremendous all-round performances fell just short of London’s clinical shooting.
Ultimately, London get back to winning ways, securing a 84-92 victory against a tough and versatile Manchester team.
