Last season Lakers rookie Austin Reaves impressed his team as well as the fans with his game. Over the course of the season he earned two nickname – Hillbilly Kobe and AR15 – that he recently said he would like to shed.

Draymond Green and Kyle Kuzma touched on the subject in the latest episode of the Draymond Green Show. The two players concurred that instead of trying to shed his nicknames, Reaves should embrace them.

“Brother, you have not done nothing in your career to be trying to shed nicknames that people gave you,” the Warriors forward said. “I was really blown away when he said that. I was like ‘Brother, you should take those nicknames and try to run with them.’”

Former Laker Kuzma agreed, saying ‘Hillbilly Kobe’ is ‘fire’ and that if he had such nickname, he would make it his mantra and would do everything Hillbilly standpoint.
